Adam Ferrari named 2009 American Institute of Architects Award Winner

Minnesota Design Team and Livable Rochester board member Adam Ferrari has been named 2009 AIA Associate Award winner!

Adam Ferrari is one of three recipients of this year’s distinguished AIA Associate Award, the highest honor given to individual Associate AIA members for demonstrated and unparalleled commitment to their component or region’s membership, in the community, in professional organizations, and/or in the design and construction industries.  Congratulations, Adam!

New group would devote energy to energy

By spring, the Rochester City Council might be appointing members to a volunteer commission focused on energy concerns.

Five of the six council members at Monday’s Committee of the Whole meeting expressed support for a commission that would recommend energy-efficiency improvements for public buildings, recommend steps to reduce pollution, and develope incentives for builders and businesses to “go green.”
